The ideal candidate needs to have the ability to manage high-acuity patients and can prioritize care based on each patient's needs, be detailed oriented and maintain an open line of communication, and model a collaborative, professional relationship with all staff. Works in an inpatient critical care area that also provides mechanical circulatory support. The Nurse Practitioner should be proficient in Chest Tube Placement, Thoracentesis and Paracentesis, Central Line placement and management; A-lines, Swans, IABP management, CRRT management, and Ventilator management. An Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner degree is required.MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):Masters degree in NursingCurrently licensed to practice as a Nurse Practitioner by State of employmentAdult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse PractitionerBasic Life Support (BLS)PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):ICU critical care experienceTwo (2) years experience as a Nurse PractitionerTwo (2) years experience as a RNThis job description is a general outline of duties performed and is not to be misconstrued as encompassing all duties performed within the position.
