Job Description:

Transports patients to and from their inpatient beds and other areas like therapy, surgery or radiology. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. The transporter transports patients to various areas throughout the hospital including discharge. Works under immediate supervision. Typically reports to a supervisor. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. No experience necessary. Previous in an acute care setting is preferred. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Strong communication and interpersonal skills required. BCLS required ( may obtain this certification during orientation).

**Experience/ Requirements:**

+ High School diploma or equivalent

+ Healthcare CPR required
