THE POSITION

State is seeking a dedicated Regulatory Enforcement Inspector to
uphold the standards of various business professions, ensuring
public health and safety through field inspection work to determine

The professional team of inspectors assigned to the Scranton
Regional Office will provide inspection services to the following
counties: Bradford, Cameron, Carbon, Clinton, Columbia, Lackawanna,
Lehigh, Luzerne, Lycoming, Monroe, Montour, Northampton,
Northumberland, Pike, Potter, Schuylkill, Snyder, Sullivan,
Susquehanna, Tioga, Union, Wayne, and Wyoming. However, an
inspector could be assigned an inspection anywhere within the
regional offices.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This is a highly rewarding position that ensures public health and
safety through field inspection work. You will determine whether
businesses are in compliance with laws, rules, and regulations
regarding professional and occupational licensing and other areas
under the jurisdiction of the Secretary of the Commonwealth. The
primary focus of the position is the physical inspection of
locations of licensees for the possession and proper display of
current licensure documents as well as possession of required
equipment, materials, devices, and reference books. Work involves
traveling to various sites in a geographic area of the state to
conduct periodic inspections of all affected professions and
occupations, by observation and interviews, noting any deviation
from established standards, and preparing reports to communicate
findings. As an Inspector, you will also have the opportunity to
issue citations when appropriate violations are found and complete
limited investigative support activities.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employmentWork
hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute
lunch.Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this
position.Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:Three
years of experience involving interpersonal public contact and
inspecting for compliance with rules and regulations and reporting
related facts; orAn Associate's Degree and one year of experience
involving interpersonal public contact and inspecting for
compliance with rules and regulations and reporting related facts;
orAny equivalent combination of experience and training which
included one year of experience involving interpersonal public
contact and inspecting for compliance with rules and regulations
and reporting related facts.
Other Requirements:This particular position also requires a valid
driver's license which is not under suspension.You must meet the PA
