      • Follow all Red Shirt Service guidelines and ensure your team is as well.
      • Greet each customer as they approach the Produce department.
      • Process each customer's order properly.
      • Promote product through selling sessions.
      • Follow proper receiving procedures and credit/shortage/damage policies.
      • Answer questions, assist customers with special requests, & provide assistance as necessary.
      • Ensure Produce teammates are pleasant and accurate at all times.
      • Ensure all sanitation & food safety processes & guidelines are in place and being followed.
      • Monitor operations to ensure proper service level & operational procedures are being followed.
      • Prioritize and delegate assignments to teammates and follow up to assure completion.
      • Perform product and supply ordering to meet business needs and inventory level guidelines.
      • Process all department paperwork in a timely manner.
      • Utilize department tablets to communicate, process paperwork and informational requests
      • Complete departmental inventories accurately and per corporate schedule.
      • Monitor daily and weekly reports.
      • Attend department manager meetings, sales meetings, and huddle ups.
      • Keep good records of orders, pre-books, and product movement.
      • Monitor & understand daily/weekly movement of products for accurate orders & production.
      • Manage cutting activities of fresh cut items to maximize product sales and control shrink.
      • Monitor department cleaning and sanitation program to always assure 100% compliance.
      • Ensure all code dating and COOL guidelines are followed, remove outdated/unfit to sell items.
      • Set and fill case and displays as per instructions and corporate standards.
      • Perform personnel functions for Produce department in collaboration with store management.
      • Provide feedback to store management on teammate performance.
      • Recommend and assist in administering teammate disciplinary action.
      • Communicate and work with store management.
      • Clearly communicate all new departmental policies/procedures to all dept. teammates.
      • Implement all corporate merchandising plans to maximize sales and gross profit dollars.
      • Responsible for dept achieving financial goals; including sales, gross profit, payroll, supplies.
      • Follow all store & dept. policies as stated in the Teammate Personnel & other handbooks.
      • Perform additional duties as assigned by store or corporate management.Essential Minimum Qualifications/Skills
        • Reading
        • Basic math skills
        • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with teammates and customers.
        • Basic writing skills
        • Ability to differentiate color, shape, and size.
        • Sense of smell
        • Visual clarity
        • Good Telephone and intercom etiquette
        • Ability to follow verbal and written directions.
        • Strong organizational skills
        • Ability to multi-task and prioritize.

        • Basic computer skills
        • Ability to identify and explain all types of produce.
