Description:Primary Role: Preparing and dispensing appropriate pharmaceuticals to patients. The job entails a high level of responsibility and knowledge.Essential Job Functions:Review and execute providers prescriptions checking their appropriateness and legalityOrganize the pharmacy in an efficient manner to make the identification of products easier and fasterMaintain full control over medication inventory, stocking and labeling medicine and other products and monitor their condition to prevent expiring or deteriorationListen carefully to customers to interpret their needs and issues and offer information and advice.Prepare medicine when appropriate using correct dosages and material for each individual patientMaintain patient profiles and history of all activities regarding medications dispensedKeep abreast and stay current with HIPAA and Frauds Waste and Abuse credentialingComply with all applicable legal rules, regulations, and proceduresResponsible for ensuring that the Pharmacy and its employees are compliant with Federal, State and Local laws regulatedEnsures that the Pharmacy and its employees are aware and compliant with local facilities policiesResponsible for directing the daily work of Pharmacy Technicians, this includes providing input into performance evaluations and advising Senior Management of any behavioral and/or performance issues.Responsible for managing the Pharmacy Technicians schedules.
