The Rehab RN focuses on restoring physical, cognitive, and emotional health, coordinating care, and ensuring patients receive personalized therapy and support to meet their rehabilitation goals.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n

  • Assess patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional needs to develop individualized rehabilitation care plans.\n
  • Administer medications, therapies, and treatments, including pain management, wound care, and therapeutic interventions.\n
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, and physicians, to ensure coordinated care and effective rehabilitation.\n
  • Monitor patient progress, assess for complications, and adjust care plans as needed to optimize outcomes.\n
  • Provide education to patients and families on disease management, medication adherence, adaptive techniques, and recovery strategies.\n
  • Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and mobility, promoting independence and safety.\n
  • Educate patients on the use of assistive devices, such as walkers, braces, and prosthetics, as needed.\n
  • Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition, such as complications from injury, surgery, or chronic illness.\n
  • Ensure compliance with rehabilitation protocols, including physical, occupational, and speech therapy goals.\n
  • Document patient care, progress, and outcomes accurately and thoroughly.\n
  • Advocate for patients and provide emotional support throughout their rehabilitation journey.\n\n\nQualifications:\n

    • Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted.\n
    • Licensure:\n

      • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.\n\n\n
      • Certification:\n

        • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.\n
        • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) preferred.\n\n\n
