Job Description:

Vice President, Music Data (HV Manco LLC dba Harbourview Equity Partners LLC, Newark, NJ): Company lead for Data, overseeing all ingestion, transformation, management and analysis to support cross-functional team-members in Investments, Finance, Business Development and Compliance; Leading the analyzation, interpretation and organization of music royalty data received from music publishers, songwriters, performing rights organizations, record labels, artists and neighboring rights organizations; Operationalizing detailed understanding of domestic and international music royalty income types and external company reporting variances to ensure accuracy of ingested data; Presenting and providing weekly reports to CEO and senior staff on portfolio and acquired deal performance including forecast versus actuals comparisons, performance trends and current acquisition values; Designing, developing and project managing data transformation and visualization tools, utilizing platforms including Tableau and Tableau Prep; and Contributing to financial modeling and cashflow forecasting based on catalog-specific analysis. Must have the following skills and experience in order to perform the above-mentioned tasks: Experience with data visualization tools for dashboarding, data cleaning, transformations and calculations; Experience writing and editing process scripts using query language for data transformation and analysis; Experience using SQL queries and related technology platforms to extract and analyze data; Advanced level Excel skills (utilizing Macros, advanced multi-step functions); Advanced understanding of data file formats and conversions (including csv, xlsx, xlsb, tab, txt and tsv formats); Familiarity with external music industry accounting portals (especially SoundExchange, ASCAP, BMI, SESAC, GMR, Warner Music Group, Warner Chappell Music Publishing, Sony Music Entertainment, Score/Sony Music Publishing, Universal Music Group, Universal Music Publishing, Kobalt Music Group); Familiarity with performing rights organization repertoire tools (ASCAP Repertory, BMI Repertory, SongView); Ability to identify royalty income types by the payment source across domestic and international sources; and Ability to create cashflow forecasts and financial models based on multiple fixed and variable parameters, including calculating levered and unlevered IRR figures and valuation ranges. Requires at least three years of experience as a Music Royalty Data Analyst or related occupation. Option to work from home available. Salary: $141,170 - $210,000.
